The Maynard Institute for Journalism Education
For nearly 25 years, the Robert C. Maynard Institute for Journalism Education (MIJE) has helped the nation’s news media reflect America’s diversity in staffing, content and business operations. Through its professional development programs, the Institute prepares managers for careers in both business- and news-sides of the journalism industry. Through its Total Community Coverage direct service programs, the Institute helps news organizations better reflect their diverse communities, improve communication with the public and uncover new business opportunities.
The Poynter Institute for Media Studies
The Poynter Institute is a school for journalists, future journalists, and teachers of journalism. Our students come here in a search for excellence. Our teachers provide focused instruction and personal support in that quest. The Institute prides itself on a style of teaching and learning that helps shape every course and seminar we offer into a Poynter Experience.
The Wharton School
For 35 years, the Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists have provided nearly 2,000 members of the media insight from Wharton faculty into topics such as financial markets, accounting principles, corporate strategy, and the global economy.

Center for Media and Public Affairs
The Center for Media and Public Affairs (CMPA) is a nonpartisan research and educational organization which conducts scientific studies of the news and entertainment media. CMPA election studies have played a major role in the ongoing debate over improving the election process . Our continuing analysis and tabulation of late night political jokes provides a lighter look at major news makers. CMPA is one of the few groups to study the important role the media plays in communicating information about health risks and scientific issues. |
